Name of homicide victim released
Authorities have released the name of the woman found deceased in a Kingfisher motel room last week.
The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation confirmed the death of Peggy Lynnette Bollenbach, 59, of Kingfisher.
Bollenbach’s body was discovered in a room at the Cattlemen’s Inn last Thursday afternoon.
Once Kingfisher Police Department officers determined the injuries were consistent with homicide, they requested OSBI assistance.
After an investigation by the KPD and OSBI, Joseph Gregory Hayslip, 38, was arrested later that night on a complaint of first degree murder.
As the investigation was unfolding authorities learned that Hayslip and Bollenbach had been residing together.
Court records show the two had filed for a marriage license on May 4. However, that license expired as a completed marriage license was not returned to the Kingfisher County court clerk’s office, further records revealed.
A charge had not been filed against Hayslip as of press time.
Hayslip was set to make his initial appearance at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 9, in Kingfisher County District Court.
Records show Hayslip was already facing multiple felonies at the time of his arrest.
He was charged June 5 with possession of a stolen vehicle and then June 26 with bringing contraband to jail. He was also tagged with possession of methamphetamine, a misdemeanor, on that date.
