NBC Oklahoma partners with Oklahoma City college for current art exhibit
NBC Oklahoma is partnering with Oklahoma City University for their current exhibit on display at the Nona Jean Hulsey Art Gallery through Nov. 15.
“Highlights from the Collection of NBC Oklahoma,” includes over 60 works by Oklahoma artists from the bank’s collection.
“This partnership reflects NBC Oklahoma’s ongoing commitment to support and enhance the markets we serve by promoting the arts, specifically, Oklahoma artists and the contributions they add to the art world,” said NBC Chairman Ken Fergeson.
Among the works included in the exhibition are pieces from Denise Duong, Starr Hardridge, John Newsom and others from the NBC Artist Series, an annually commissioned work of art from an Oklahoma artist. “For the past 20 years, we’ve focused on supporting Oklahoma artists,” said Fergeson. “We are pleased to share a selection of these works with the patrons of Oklahoma City University.”
Additionally, Fergeson noted his gratitude to OCU gallery curator and director, Heather Lunsford.
“Through her leadership, we have been made aware of Oklahoma artists that we might have otherwise missed,” Fergeson said. “She does outstanding work.”
The Nona Jean Hulsey Art Gallery is located inside the Norick Art Center at 1608 NW 26th St. See it weekdays from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
