Nearly 4 dozen Jech family members gather for 66th reunion
The 66th Jech family reunion was held Saturday, July 20, at the Kingfisher Elks Lodge. Hosting this year’s reunion was the Rosa (Jech) Ellyson family.
“We all look forward to seeing family and several came early to reminisce the past, some to discover what and how others are doing in the present and then some discussed the future,” said Donetta Edge, of Kingfisher, who attended the reunion with her husband, Mike.
Several photo albums were set out for attendees to view.
“Pictures are so amazing and important,” Edge said. “Some looked through them like taking a trip down memory lane, while the younger generation viewed them trying to understand their family history. Most just wanted to see pictures of those we talk so much about...that ‘older generation.’” After a prayer, the family members dined on a wide selection of homemade food.
Everyone continued visiting throughout the meal and afterwards until the doors were locked.
There were 45 people attending the reunion: Ronny Jech and (friend) Shelley Nixon and Joann Oliver from Cashion; Alan and Diane Jech from Duncan; Robert Ellyson, Steven and Julia Jech, Andrew and Fawn Jech, and Aaron and Allison Jech from Edmond; and Jeff Jech from Hennessey.
From Kingfisher were Joe and Jenise Culp, Darrell and Debbie Daugherty, Mike and Donetta Edge, Arnold and Donna Jech, J. Juan and Denise Jech, Doug and Kim Jech, Le-Roy Jech, Sharon Kadavy, Kolby and Danica Kramer, Wayne and Clairetta Lowe, Glanice McAdoo and Renee Trindle.
Also attending were Dan and Waynette Alig, Erin Alig and (friend) Mitchell Ludwig from Okarche; Chad and Megan Linville from Oklahoma City; Braden Culp and (friend) Becca Warden from Piedmont; Larry Jech from Richmond, Mo.; Connor Jech and Caleb Jech from Wichita Falls, Texas; and Evelyn Skarky from Yukon.
The 67th Jech reunion will be held Saturday, July 19, 2025, at the Kingfisher Elks Lodge with the Jerry Jech family serving as hosts of the event.
