New plat gets county approval in Cashion

By

Kingfisher County commissioners approved a plat for Wolf Creek Estates 3.5 miles south of Cashion Monday at their weekly meeting.

Cody Replogle of American Land Exchange attended the meeting to answer questions regarding the plat, advising commissioners all questions from adjoining landowners have been answered.

District 1 Commissioner Jeff Moss, who moved to accept the plat, said reports indicate Cashion is one of the fastest growing communities in Oklahoma.

Commissioners also accepted $1,000 donations from three entities – H2 Services, Crescent Consulting and K&J Construction – to go toward the purchase of a map printer for Kingfisher County. The total cost of the printer, which is scheduled for delivery next week, is $4,500.

Commissioners accepted a $2,819 grant from the Oklahoma Department of Emergency Management and Homeland Security for the county’s 911 emergency calling service and a low bid from Anderson Trucking of Guthrie for the purchase of a 2015 Western Star belly dump truck and 2015 trailer (combination) for District 1.

An agreement with Professional Engineering Consultants on County project No. 230855-001 received approval. This project involves replacement of the main electrical service equipment in the county courthouse, a new optional stand by the natural gas generator and single transfer switch.

County road access requests were approved as follow:

• Iofina Resources – renewal of a three-inch poly water line located five miles west and five miles north of Okarche, District 3.

• Pioneer Telephone Coop – two locations for fiber-optic cable in the Hennessey area in District 2.

• K&J Construction – 12-inch lay flat frac line two miles south and four miles east of Hennessey, District 2.

• Markwest Oklahoma Gas Co. public service access drive located onefourth mile north of EW 850 Road on east side of N 2810 Road, District 3.

An invoice for legal fees of $762 from Durbin, Larimore and Bialick, P.C., received approval. The payment was for condemnation work on the Robberts Avenue bridge over Uncle John Creek in District 1.

Monthly reports from the following offices were approved: election board, health department, assessor, county clerk and sheriff.

All commissioners were present – Moss, District 1; Ray Alan Shimanek, District 2, and Heath Dobrovolny, District 3 – as well as Jeannie Boevers as official minute clerk.
