New sup’t hire expected Monday
Kingfisher Public Schools is expected to have its new superintendent Monday afternoon.
The school’s board of education has called a special meeting for noon.
The agenda calls for an executive session “to discuss employment of a superintendent.”
It also has an item “to employ a superintendent for the 2022-23 school year.”
Monday’s meeting will be the third in eight days for the board and the second special meeting.
After last Monday’s regular June meeting (see related stories above and in Wednesday’s edition), board members also gath ered for a special meeting last Tuesday night.
That special meeting only involved an executive session “to discuss the employment of a superintendent.”
There were no action items on the agenda.
The board has been searching for a replacement since Dr. Daniel Craig tendered his resignation on May 23.
Craig, an alumnus of Kingfisher High School, has served one year on the job.
He resigned to take a position at Chisholm Trail Technology Center. Craig’s resignation is effective at the end of this month.
