There will be no county fair board election on Saturday, Feb. 3, County Clerk Jeannie Boevers has announced.

One candidate has filed for each of the three positions making an election unnecessary, – Jeff Henrichs of Okarche, District 1; Luke Lough of Hennessey, District 2, and Andrea Murray of Loyal, District 3.

Murray will succeed longtime board member, Frank Staude, who did not seek re-election.

The three directors will serve with the following hold-over board members:

• District 1, David Gerken; District 2, Chad Charmasson, and District 3, Matthew Walta, all of whom have two years remaining on their terms, and,

• District 1, Terry LaBlue; District 2, Kevin Harrison, and District 3, Shane Clifton, all of whom have one year left on their terms.
