Kingfisher High School seniors Noah Schaefer and Ally Stephenson were named Junior Lions for October by the Kingfisher Lions Club.

Schaefer, the son of Kris and Rodney Schaefer, is a member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes and participated in both baseball and basketball, where he was a member of the 2021 state championship and academic state championship teams.

He is also a member of the history club, KHS leadership class and National Honor Society, served as a delegate to Boys State and has been named KHS student of the month.

A member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Schaefer plans to attend the University of Central Oklahoma to pursue a career as a history teacher.

Stephenson, the daughter of Justin and Tracy Stephenson, also is a member of FCA and leadership class, as well as student council.

She is active in basktball, cross country and track and field, where she is a twotime state champion in high jump and a state runner-up in long jump.

She also is a member of Oklahoma Honor Society.

Stephenson attends the First United Methodist Church, where she participates in youth group.

After graduation, she plans to continue her athletic career in college while she pursues a business degree, with an eye toward starting her own business.
