NOC president speaks at Rotary
Diana Watkins, Northern Oklahoma College (NOC) president, left, was the featured speaker of the Kingfisher Rotary Club last week. Watkins said NOC has an enrollment of over 3,000 students with campuses in Tonkawa, Enid and Stillwater. She noted that Stillwater was a gateway campus for Oklahoma State University. She said it allowed first- and second-year students to have smaller class sizes and more student-teacher interaction and still be part of OSU. Watkins said it provided a better opportunity for successful transition to more advanced classes at OSU. The Enid campus was known as Phillips University before NOC purchased the facilities in 1999. Watkins was raised in Perry and graduated from OSU. She was introduced by Jon Benham, right, Kingfisher Rotary Club president and also a graduate of Perry High School. [KT&FP Staff Photo]
