For the first time in the school’s history, the Okarche sixth grade quiz bowl team completed its regular season with no losses.

Team members are Sutton Terrell, Jag Mueggenborg, Jake Rother, Bailey Bomhak, Carson Wright and Tucker White.

Coached by Janet Schroder and assisted by Stephanie Stahlman, the team not only won the district competition against Hennessey and Watonga, but also went on to win both regional and area competitions.

Okarche out-performed foes at area by the following scores: Okarche 160, Pioneer Pleasant Vale 60 Okarche 250, Northpark I 40 Okarche 180, Chisholm 90 Okarche 200, Drummond Gold 10 Okarche 200, Hennessey 40 Okarche 200, OBA I 80 Regional scores were also dominant: Okarche 160, Pleasant Vale 60 Okarche 250, Northpark I 40 Okarche 180, Chisholm 90 Okarche 200, Drummond 10 Okarche 220, Hennessey 40 Okarche 200, OBA I 80 While the team’s perfect regular season was extraordinary, its achievements did not stop there.

Members also participated in a statewide online tournament and demonstrated exceptional skills in various subjects.

Okarche won first place for small schools in humanities, second place in English/language arts, third in history and was in a fiveway tie for first in math, losing first place only through tie-breaker questions.
