After winning its district and regional competitions, the Okarche sixth grade quiz bowl team is headed to area. The team defeated Hennessey and Watonga in district play to advance to regionals. Okarche scored 910 points at the regional on Jan. 24 to secure a place in area competition. Scores were: Okarche 200, Hillsdale 40; Okarche 180, Watonga 40; Okarche 180, Chisholm 30; Okarche 160, Monroe 20; and Okarche 190, Hennessey 0. The date for the area has not been set.
