Okarche High School yearbook again recognized at national level by Jostens
Jostens, the leading producer of yearbooks and student-created content, announced that Okarche High School’s yearbook program has achieved the Jostens National Yearbook Program of Excellence 2025 award at the Gold Level.
The National Yearbook Program of Excellence recognizes engaging yearbooks that reflect a broad representation of the student body while helping students to develop 21st century skills such as communication, collaboration, and information and communication technologies (ICT) literacy.
The Okarche High School’s award-winning yearbook program was led by Chesney Black, Jordyn Darst, Brianna Mollohan, Maycie Moore and Maddie Vogt under the direction of Traci Fuller and Robert Ford, yearbook advisers.
Jostens’ National Yearbook Program of Excellence Award was presented to the Okarche High School yearbook program for achieving defined criteria in all three of the following categories: creating an inclusive yearbook, generating school engagement and successfully managing the yearbook creation process.
This is the fourth consecutive year that the yearbook has earned the Gold Award, the fifth total, beginning in 2019-20, earning the Bronze in 2020-21 and then back-to-back from 2022 through 2025 earning the Gold.
Jostens yearbook representative Dustin Kiersey informed the sponsors that Okarche is the only school to have won the gold five separate times.
“Jostens is proud to recognize those individuals who have created an exceptional yearbook for their school and community,” said Tammy Whitaker, Jostens VP and COO Yearbook Division. “These schools did an exceptional job on multiple levels, despite the challenges presented by this school year. Yearbooks are a critical part of capturing and telling a school’s story, and Jostens is dedicated to supporting yearbook staff members as they do their important work.”
