OPA, AG hosting seminars on open meetings, records acts
The Oklahoma Press Association and the state’s attorney general are hosting a series of seminars regarding open meetings and open records.
The free seminars will include one in Enid on Monday, Oct. 30.
It will be held from 1-4 p.m. at the Autry Technology Center, Room 201.
The seminars will deal directly with questions and concerns about the Oklahoma Open Meeting Act and the Oklahoma Open Records Act.
The seminars will be presented by Thomas R. Schneider, deputy general counsel to Attorney General Gentner Drummond.
All local organizations are invited, including city coun- cil members, school board members, law enforcement officers and attorneys.
Credit hours will be given to school board members, law enforcement and attorneys.
No registration is required to attend the seminar.
One will also be held Dec. 11 at Metro Tech Conference Center in Oklahoma City.
