OSSAA offers free admission for military members, guest in 1st round of playoffs
Those who have served or are currently serving in the miltary can take in a high school football game this week free of charge.
The Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association has announced it is once again offering free admission to military service members for the first round of the football playoffs.
Playoff games will be played across the state this Friday, Nov. 11.
The OSSAA has offered free entry to veterans in the first round for several years. This year, it happens to fall on Veterans Day.
All veterans and one guest will be admitted free of charge.
That includes those either active duty, retired, reserve or national guard.
“The OSSAA appreciates the sacrifices of all veterans and hopes you will take advantage of this opportunity,” said David Jackson, OSSAA executive director.
To gain entry into a game, simply show your Military ID card, or driver’s license that shows your military status at the gate.
“You and a guest will be admitted free of charge,” Jackson said. “Thank you for your service.”
