OSU president comments on Judy Johnson
Community leader Judy Johnson passed away Monday, Oct. 7.
A story on her impact in Kingfisher and beyond appeared in the Oct. 13 edition.
Both Johnson and her husband, Mike Johnson, who preceded her in death, were graduates and ardent supporters of Oklahoma State University.
The KT&FP reached out to OSU President Dr. Kayse Shrum to offer a comment on Johnson’s passing.
Shrum did respond, but it was after the deadline for that edition. Below are Shrum’s sentiments regarding Judy Johnson: “Judy personified the Cowboy Code and Darren and I extend our deepest condolences. She and Mike were loyal and true to the core and countless OSU students will benefit from the legacy of their generosity and commitment to the Cowboy family.”
