Painter was destined to be HPS board member

Lance Painter

It was in Lance Painter’s blood to become a member of the Hennessey Board of Education and, ironically, he was the only candidate to file earlier this month for the five-year board term.

The Hennessey Binkley Middle School was named in 1973 to honor Painter’s maternal great-grandfather, Dr. F. H. Binkley.

His maternal grandfather was Dr. James (Jim) E. Binkley and both Binkleys served several terms on the Hennessey board and were past presidents.

Painter is the son of Kathy (Binkley) and Jack Painter of Hennessey.

Painter graduated from Hennessey High School in 1998 and is married to Abby (Lott), a 2010 HHS grad.

They have five children: Kolby, Ally and Ryker Painter, and Brytan and Keeten Gardner.

Painter, 44, attended UCO and is a loss control inspector for Oklahoma Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance.

He is a member of the Coronado Masonic Lodge and the First Christian Church.
