Pinnacle donates funds for paved road leading into Cashion addition
Kingfisher County commissioners accepted a gift of $39,688.38 from Pinnacle Development Monday to build an asphalt road leading to Pinnacle’s new housing addition west of Cashion.
The District 1 project was accepted on motion of Commissioner Jeff Moss.
The funds will be applied to a half-mile section of Count Road N2980, leading to the entrance to the housing development.
Commissioners also reappointed Dr. Drew Hendrix, Kingfisher dentist, to the county board of health for a new term, expiring June 30, 2027.
Hendrix’s current term began May 18, 2019, and expires June 30, 2023.
Other actions taken included approving payment of a $3,154 invoice to Circuit Engineering District 8 for county bridge inspections, a 20% grant match application to help finance new equipment for the 911 emergency calling service as prepared by 911 director Ryan Deatherage and a public access drive permit for K&J Construction located three miles west and three miles north of Loyal in District 3.
A request from Canvas Energy for a public access drive located .3 mile east of CR 2850 on CR 750 in District 1 was tabled until certain utility locations can be determined.
County Engineer Nik Smith reminded that a safety training session for county road employees would begin at 8 a.m. Wednesday at the fairgrounds.
District 1 Commissioner Heath Dobrovolny, chairman, reminded that a prebid conference on asphalt projects scheduled in all three districts was scheduled at 10 a.m. Thursday.
District 2 Commissioner Ray Alan Shimanek moved for adjournment at 9:10 a.m.
County Clerk Jeannie Boevers attended as official minute clerk. County Emergency Management Director Steve Loftis also was a guest at the meeting.
