The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following reports: March 9 - Driving while impaired.

Officer Aaron Schlegel responded to a traffic accident at South Seventh Street and Sheridan Avenue.

According to the report, the 58-year-old female driver determined to be at fault for the accident appeared to exhibit signs of intoxication.

Corporal Aaron Schlegel said in his report that he detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from the suspect and conducted field sobriety tests.

The suspect reportedly failed the field sobriety tests and was placed under arrest for suspicion of driving under the infl uence and transported to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center.

The vehicle was inventoried and towed.

March 13 - Public intoxication.

Officer Kyle Svoboda responded to a report theft at Love’s Country Store, 203 S. Main St.

An employee reportedly stated an individual had stolen merchandise and was still located on the property.

According to the report, the 35-year-old male suspect appeared to exhibit signs of intoxication and was placed under arrest for public intoxication.

The suspect was transported to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center and charged with public intoxication.

Officer Justin Conner assisted with the investigation.

March 16 - Petit larceny- state.

Officer Justin Conner responded to a report of theft at the Dollar General Store, 1305 S. Main St.

According to the report, the manager stated an individual scammed two employees on March 15 by having money fraudulently credited to a green dot card.

The manager also reportedly stated that the suspect performed the same scam at the Dollar General Store in Hennessey.

The reported value of the theft was $871.03.
