The following traffic accidents are being investigated by the Kingfisher Police Department:

Sept. 18, 4:30 p.m. – At U.S. 81 and Will Rogers Drive.

Diane Minnis, 55, Kingfisher, driving a 2015 Toyota, was parked at City Nail Salon, 102 W. Will Rogers Drive.

Ronald Jones, 74, Kingfisher, driving a 1995 Ford F-350, backed out of a parking space and struck the Minnis vehicle in the rear driver’s side.

Minor damage was reported to the Minnis vehicle and no damage to the Jones vehicle. No injuries were reported.

Officer Ryan Gibson investigated the accident.

Sept. 19, 3:30 p.m. – At U.S. 81 and Bowman Avenue.

Cheyenne Rodriguez, 23, Watauga, Texas, driving a 2008 Kia Optima, was northbound in the inside lane of U.S. 81.

Madison Chestnut, 21, Dover, driving a 2019 Chevrolet Malibu, was southbound in the outside land of U.S. 81.

According to the report, the Rodriguez vehicle attempted to make a left turn on westbound West Bowman Avenue and struck the Chestnut vehicle.

Functional damage was reported to the Chestnut vehicle and unknown damage to the Rodriguez vehicle. No injuries were reported.

Sept. 26, 5:49 p.m. – At U.S. 81 and S.H. 33.

John First, 48, Davis, driving a 1994 Peterbilt, was northbound on U.S. 81 and stopped at the traffic light of the S.H. 33 intersection.

According to the report, as the First vehicle began to move forward the receiver hitch broke and trailer was no longer attached leaving drag marks in the roadway for a short distance.

The trailer was towed from the scene, the report said.

Minor damage was reported to the First vehicle. No injuries were reported.
