Pool-Zachgo families gather for 39th reunion

Forty-three members of the Pool-Zachgo families gathered Sunday, Oct. 10, at the Crescent Community Center for the 39th annual reunion.

Traveling the longest distance was Gary Zachgo of Dallas, Texas.

The oldest member at tending was Betty Barnum of Oklahoma City.

The youngest was Laylonie Barnett of Crescent.

There were two deaths in the family since the last reunion: John Golden of Edmond and Mickey Zachgo of Kingfisher.

The invocation was giv en by Merle Brock and was followed by a covered dish luncheon.

The afternoon was spent visiting and taking pictures for the reunion album.

The first reunion was held in 1983 with 81 members attending. Some families attending brought old family photos to look at and share.

Those attending this year’s reunion were: Alfred and Nancy Teders, Brian, Sharon, Matthew and Samuel Miller, Linda Hill, Jodie Hill, Jeremiah Hill and Breanna Bay, Christi and Emily Lewis, Erick and Brandy Zachgo, Jaydn Zachgo and Jessica and Cara Mullins, all of Kingfisher; John Hill and Racheal Russell of El Reno; Eddie Brock, Leland Brock, Xena Brock, Laylonie Barnett and Tanner Brock of Crescent; Coty Brock of Tulsa; Betty Barnum, Sheri, Melody and Aubry Hartley, Steven Kordalewski, Marshall and Sandi Brock, Hazel ad Harizon Ellis, Largus and Zita Brock of Oklahoma City; Merle and Patti Brock of Broken Arrow; Leroy and Jacque Zachgo of Guthrie; Paul and Konnie Griffin of Purcell; and Gary Zachgo of Dallas.

The next reunion will be Sunday, Oct. 9, 2022.
