Pool-Zachgo families meet for 40th reunion

Fifty-six members of the Pool-Zachgo families gathered Sunday, Oct. 9, at the Crescent Community Center for their 40th annual reunion. Traveling the longest distance was Mike Barnum and Denise Barnum of Indiana. The oldest member attending was Eva Golden of Edmond. The youngest was Liam Barnett, the 5-month-old son of Mekayla Brock of Crescent. There were two deaths in the family since the last reunion: Robert Pool of Kingfisher and Betty Barnum of Oklahoma City.

The invocation was given by Mike Barnum and that was followed by a covered dish luncheon.

The afternoon was spent visiting and taking pictures for the reunion album. The first reunion was held in 1983 with 81 members attending.

The reunion album was brought to look at and extra pictures brought to share. Those attending this year were: Alfred and Nancy Teders, Brian, Sharon, Matthew and Samuel Miller, Linda Hill, Jason, Melissa, Jodie and Lillie Hill, Jeremiah and Breanna Hill, Greg and Deone Fisher, all of Kingfisher; Justin, Gaylene and Carmen Teders of Yukon; Eddie Brock, Leland Brock, Xena Brock, Ezekiel Lynch, Isaiah Lynch, Isolde Wingo, Mekayla Brock, Laylonie Barnett, Liam Barnett and Rick Brock, all of Crescent.

Also, Bonnie Monarch, Shad, Sheri, Melody and Aubry Hartley, Steven Kordalewski, Largus Brock, Marshall and Sandi Brock, Harizon and Hazel Ellis, Lindsay Brock, Victoria Brock and Michael Gutfleish, all of Oklahoma City; Merle and Patti Brock of Broken Arrow; Leroy and Jacque Zachgo of Guthrie; Paul and Konnie Griffin of Purcell; Evan Golden of Edmond; Melody and Shane Cheatham of Mannford; Cynthia and Maggie Wilkison of Cashion; Joe Zachgo of Sylvan Grove, Kan.; Mike Barnum of Marion, Ind.; and Dennis Barnum of Huntington, Ind.

The next Pool-Zachgo reunion will be Sunday, Oct. 8, 2023.
