Pool-Zachgo family gathers for reunion
Thirty-six members of the Pool-Zachgo families gathered Sunday, Oct. 8, at the Crescent Community Center for their 41st annual reunion.
Traveling the longest distance was Gary Zachgo of Dallas, Texas. The oldest member attending was Eva Golden of Edmond. The youngest member attending was Liam Barnett, the 1-year-old son of Mekayla Brock of Crescent. There was one death in the family since the last reunion - Milan Zak.
The invocation was given by Merle Brock and that was followed by a covered dish luncheon.
The afternoon was spent visiting, looking at old family pictures and taking pictures for the reunion album.
The first reunion was held in 1983 with 81 members attending.
Those attending this year’s reunion were: Alfred and Nancy Teders, Linda Hill, Kristen Brock, Christi Lewis, Emily Clayton and Jeremiah and Breanna Hill, all of Kingfisher; Richard Brock, Leland Brock, Eddie Brock, Mekayla Brock, Laylonie and Liam Barnett, Meka and Bruce Dunsmore, Zeke Lynch and Isaiah Lynch of Crescent.
Also attending were Leroy Zachgo of Guthrie; Merle and Patti Brock of Broken Arrow; Kensington and Kenton McKee of Shawnee; Eva Golden of Edmond; Shad, Sheri, Melody and Aubry Hartley, Steven Kordalewski, Lindsey (Brock) Gutfleish, Victoria Brock, Michael Gutfleish, Marshall Brock of Oklahoma City; Shane and Melody Cheatham of Mannford; and Gary Zachgo of Dallas, Texas.
The next Pool-Zachgo reunion will be held Sunday, Oct. 13, 2024.
