Quick work made of county agenda
Kingfisher County commissioners handled a number of routine actions related to the start of the new fiscal year at Monday’s weekly meeting.
They approved:
• Removing Taylor Mills as receiving agent for Chisholm Trail Museum;
• Certificates and orders for Canadian and Blaine counties for joint actions related to shared services of the district attorney’s office, including $2 million bonds for each county;
• The Kingfisher County investment policy and $2 million bond for County Treasurer Robin Rother who is authorized to invest surplus highway funds;
• Surplus county general funds and industrial authority funds;
• A resolution designating BancFirst, F&M Bank, Community National Bank, Community State Bank and state treasurer of Oklahoma as depository banks;
• An FDIC depository agreement pertaining to F&M Bank, Commuity National Bank and BancFirst for 2023-24;
• A Resale Property Fund financial statement for the 2023 fiscal year showing reserves of $517,947.98 with no balance for appropriation;
• Appointment of a federal trapper including annual fee of $2,400 for rodent and predator control services;
• Payment of $749.14 for legal fees and all damages related to the Robberts Avenue bridge over Uncle John Creek;
• An interlocal agreement between the county and Kingfisher City Commission for 911 call answering and dispatch services for fiscal year 2023-24 and payment of $7,934.75; Additionally commissioners approved permits for pipeline county road crossings as follow:
• K&J Construction – Two 12-inch lay flat lines and a three-inch lay flat line located seven miles east and four miles north of Kingfisher, and • Arrow Contracting – six inch permanent rural water line located one mile west and one-half mile north of Cashion, all in District 1.
Also approved was an agreement between Kingfi sher County and Entero Services, LLC, to provide drug testing for the county for the 23-24 fiscal year.
Present for the meeting were County Commissioners Heath Dobrovolny, District 3, chairman, and Jeff Moss, District 1, vice chairman, County Clerk Jeannie Boevers as minute clerk, County Engineer Nik Smith, 9-1-1 coordinator Ryan Deatherage and Emily Lee, deputy county clerk.
