Ready . . . Aim . . . FIRE!
Scott Russell and Warren Stallard from the Loyal Fire Department (see related picture on Page 11) were among firefighters from six departments across the state who participated in a first responder training workshop at the OSU Fire Service Training Center in Stillwater. Sponsored by the Oklahoma Energy Resources Board, the training focused on best practices for responding to fires at oil and natural gas sites. The two-day training was provided at no cost to firefighters and included a classroom component as well as hands-on live burn exercises. Other fire departments participating included Geary, Tulsa, Richland, Meno and Guymon.
