Recent Hennessey PD reports
– A Hennessey man, 35, was arrested for domestic assault and battery in the presence of minors, and was taken to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center. Police responded to a call on North Manning about a dispute and fight at 5:30 p.m. Tues., June 6.
Snake Assist – An officer was dispatched at 5:50 p.m. Tuesday, June 6, to a residence to assist Kyle Watkins, another town employee, to remove a snake from a residence in the 400 block of West Fourth St.
Civil Matter – An officer was sent to the 200 block of South Cimarron Street at 6:30 p.m. Monday, June 5, about a dispute. After discussion the officer told the two parties it was not a police matter, but a civil court case.
Drug Charges – Police were contacted by 911 at 9:20 p.m. Thursday, June 8, about a man who was allegedly following three girls. The officer commended the girls for staying on the 911 line and getting away from the man. The officer later talked with a man who fit the description the girls had given him. The suspect told the officer he didn’t mean to scare the girls and was walking to his home in Ike’s Acres. Police later received a report that a man fitting the suspect’s description was trying to sell drugs on North Cherokee Street. County deputies joined in the search for the suspect. The officers found him and the deputies performed a series of tests that determined he was under the influence of illegal narcotics. The suspect, 22, was arrested by deputies for public intoxication and taken to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center.
Vehicle Unlock – An officer was called to Howdy’s Travel Plaza at 6 p.m. Sunday, June 11, due to a customer locking their keys in their truck. Austin C. Siegmann, Hennessey, told the officer he was only given one key when he bought the crew cab pickup. After the officer determined the vehicle belonged to Siegmann, he was able to unlock the vehicle and urged Siegmann to get another key made.
