Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following reports:

July 15 - Malicious injury/destruction of property.

Officer Dustin Brodrick responded to a report of property damage at the Church of the Nazarene, 414 W. Hill Drive.

According to the report, Linda Murphey stated that on June 29 individuals observed damage to the catalytic converter on a van belonging to the church.

Brodrick said in his report that while viewing surveillance video, he witnessed a suspect enter the area where the van was parked, appear to become startled and run from the scene.

A lighter, cut off saw and two blades were left at the scene, the report said.

July 16 - Burglary-second degree (auto).

Officer Dustin Brodrick responded to a report of theft from a vehicle in the 200 block of Mitchell Drive.

Katelynn Ferguson reportedly stated she discovered that her wallet had been taken from her vehicle overnight.

According to the report, items in the wallet included a driver’s license, Social Security cards, a Venmo card and H&R Block card.

Ferguson stated that less than $500 of fraudulent charges had been applied to the H&R Block card, according to the report.

July 16 - Burglary-second degree (auto).

Officer Dustin Brodrick took a report of possible theft from a vehicle in the 300 block of West Mitchell Drive.

Genaro Ortega reportedly stated that he discovered evidence that his unlocked vehicle had been rummaged through overnight, but nothing appeared to be missing.
