Recent Kingfisher PD reports
The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following reports:
June 9 - Larceny Of Merchandise From Retailer.
Officer Matthew Hollon responded to a report of theft at Walmart, 200 W. Starlite Drive.
According to the report, the asset protection manager stated a male suspect stole a can of compressed air.
Hollon said in his report he reviewed surveillance footage of the incident and the 33-year-old male suspect is observed taking the can off the shelf and then “it appears he shoves the can down his pants and then rapidly exits the store.”
The suspect was observed wearing a company uniform and Hollon made contact with his employer who was able to identify him, according to the report.
The suspect reportedly admitted to the theft and provided Hollon with a statement regarding the incident, the report said.
June 10 - Warrant, possession of controlled substance and bringing or possessing contraband in jail or penal institution.
Officer Derek Grassmann said in his report that he was on patrol when he observed a known 38-yearold male suspect with a felony warrant.
According to the report, Grassmann made contact with the suspect, placed him under arrest for the warrant and transported him to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center.
A jailer requested the suspect be transported to Mercy Hospital Kingfisher where he was evaluated and received medical clearance for incarceration and was returned to the jail, the report said.
Grassman stated in his report that he later received notification from dispatch that possible contraband had been discovered in the suspect’s wallet.
According to the report, the jailer located “a foil wrapper and inside was a substance that looked to be consistent with crystal meth.”
Grassman performed a field test on the substance which produced a positive result for methamphetamine, the report said.
June 10 - Larceny of merchandise from retailer.
Officer Matthew Hollon responded to a report of theft at Walmart, 200 W. Starlite Drive.
According to the report, an asset protection manager said on June 5, a male suspect stole a cell phone power bank portable battery.
Hollon said in his report that he reviewed surveillance footage of the incident and observed “the suspect taking the product off of the shelf, carrying it to another isle and opening it and leaving the packaging behind before leaving the store.”
The suspect was identifi ed and Hollon attempted to contact the suspect, but was unsuccessful, the report said.
The reported value of the stolen item was $15.
June 11 - Domestic assault and battery/abuse.
Officer Derek Grassman took a report of an altercation in the 200 block of South Main Street.
Kingfisher County Sheriff’s Deputy James McNew assisted with the investigation.
June 12 - Eluding police officer and no driver’s license.
Officer Derek Grassman said in his report that he observed a southbound vehicle on U.S. 81 traveling at a high rate of speed and he attempted to make a traffic stop.
According to the report, the vehicle turned eastbound on East Starlite Drive and then southbound on NS2845, continuing to travel at a high rate of speed.
The vehicle then stopped near a trailer park on NS2845 and Beverly Drive and the suspect exited the vehicle and fled, the report said.
Officer Jared Tech and Kingfisher County Sheriff’s Deputy Kejuan Joseph assisted Grassman in searching for the suspect.
According to the report, it was determined the suspect had entered a camper he was residing in at the location and officers made contact with the suspect.
The suspect was placed under arrest for eluding a police officer and driving without a valid driver’s license.
Grassman said in his report the suspect was issued citations for speeding, driving without a valid driver’s license and failure to comply with compulsory insurance law.
