Recent Kingfisher PD reports
The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following reports:
October 7 - Operate/ APC vehicle under influence of intoxicating substance and child endangerment. — Sergeant Aaron Schlegel responded to a report of a domestic disturbance in the Walmart parking lot, 200 W. Starlite Drive. Schlegel said in his report that he observed the suspects’ vehicle traveling southbound on U.S. 81 and swerving outside its lane and he initiated a traffic stop. According to the report, field sobriety tests were performed on the female driver and she was placed under arrest for driving under the influence and child endangerment due to two infant children being in the vehicle along with two other adult passengers. The suspect was transported to Mercy Hospital Kingfisher to obtain a blood sample for the state’s test and then to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center. Sergeant Justin Conner assisted with the investigation.
October 8 - Driving with license canceled/ suspended/revoked. — Officer Kyle Svoboda said in his report that he observed a northbound vehicle on U.S. 81 with inoperable tail lights and initiated a traffic stop. According to the report, the 21-year-old male driver was driving with a suspended license. The suspect was issued a warning for the inoperable tag lights and placed under arrest for driving with a suspended license and transported to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center.
October 8 - Domestic assault and battery/ abuse and obstructing an officer. — Officer Aubrey Massey responded to a report of a domestic altercation in the 600 block of South Third Street. Sergeant Aaron Schlegel, Sergeant Justin Conner and Officer Matthew Hollon assisted with the investigation.
October 9 - Larceny of merchandise from retailer and conspiracy. — Officer Aubrey Massey responded to a report of theft at Walmart, 200 W. Starlite Drive. According to the report, a 29-year-old male exited the store with an unpurchased scooter and backpack and entered the passenger side of a vehicle and left the scene. Sheriff’s deputies made contact with the 39-year-old driver and the 29-year-old suspect who was determined to have outstanding warrants from another county as well as charges of concealing/receiving stolen property, the report said. Massey said in his report that he would be seeking warrants for larceny of a retailer for the 29-year-old suspect and conspiracy to commit larceny for the 39-year-old suspect. The reported value of the stolen items was $318. Sergeant Aaron Schlegel assisted with the investigation.
October 10 - DUI-liquor or drugs/APCV and child endangerment. — Sergeant Aaron Schlegel said in his report that he observed an eastbound vehicle on Bowman Avenue with “a small child in the back seat that was partially hanging out the back passenger window” and he initiated a traffic stop. According to the report, the male driver appeared to show signs of intoxication and field sobriety tests were performed. The driver was placed under arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence and child endangerment by DUI and transported to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center. Sergeant Justin Conner assisted with the investigation.
October 13 - Larceny of merchandise from retailer. — Officer Aubrey Massey responded to a report of theft at Walmart, 200 W. Starlite Drive. According to the report, a 39-year-old male suspect stole two bags of dog food with a total value of $92.97. Massey said in his report that he would be seeking a warrant for larceny of merchandise from retailer for the suspect. Sergeant Aaron Schlegel assisted with the investigation.
