Recent Kingfisher PD reports

The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following reports:

July 17 - Enter structure with certain intent- break and enter and malicious injury/ destruction of property.

Officer Matthew Hollon responded to a report of an individual breaking into a vacant trailer home in the 800 block of South Third Street.

According to the report, a witness notified the trailer park owner that he witnessed a known suspect attempting to break into the residence.

Hollon said in his report that he observed a door at the residence “had damage consistent with it having been previously pried open.”

Hollon took photo- graphs of the damage and attempted to make contact with the 41-year-old male suspect, but was unsuccessful, the report said.

Sergeant Justin Trumbley assisted with the investigation.

July 25 - Possible counterfeit coin with intent to circulate.

Officer Kyle Svoboda responded to a report of counterfeit money at Walmart, 200 W. Starlite Drive.

According to the report, the Walmart manager stated she discovered counterfeit bills, but was unsure of the date they were received.

The bills - one $100 bill, two $20 bills and one $5 bill - were collected and placed into evidence, the report said.

July 26 - Malicious injury/destruction of property.

Lieutenant Dustin Brodrick responded to a report of property damage in the 800 block of South 13th Street.

According to the report, a 90-year-old male suspect struck a mailbox on South 13th Street and continued northbound.

Brodrick said in his report that he made contact with the suspect at North Sixth Street near Ace Hardware.

The suspect reportedly stated “he knew he had hit the mailbox with his side mirror, but did not realize he had knocked it down or he would have stopped.”

Brodrick photographed damage to the suspect’s vehicle, the report said.

Officer Quinton Cline assisted with the investigation.

July 29 - Larceny of merchandise from retailer.

Officer Aaron Schlegel responded to a report of theft at Walmart, 200 W. Starlite Drive.

According to the report, two suspects, a male and female, entered the store and proceeded to gather a computer, boombox and three cans of oil, exiting through the lawn and garden center without paying for them.

The store manager and asset protection employee reported a third suspect drove a vehicle to the area where the items were loaded, with the exception of three cans of oil which were left in the parking lot, and the suspects fled the area.

The total reported value for the computer and boombox was $904.59 and $22.88 for the cans of oil.
