Recent Kingfisher PD reports

The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following reports:

August 28 - Sexual battery. Officer Justin Conner responded to a report of harassment and alleged sexual battery at Shaw Park. According to the report, a female individual reported that an 86-year-old male “started grabbing her and touched her breast and then tried kissing her.” Conner said in his report that he made contact with the suspect who stated that “a lady came over to him and hugged him so he hugged her back.” The officer also spoke with other witnesses regarding the alleged incident, the report said.

August 28 - DUI-liquor or drugs/APCV. Sergeant Aaron Schlegel said in his report that he observed a northbound vehicle on U.S. 81 with a defective third brake light and initiated a traffic stop. According to the report, the 61-year-old male driver appeared to exhibit signs of intoxication and field sobriety tests were performed. The suspect was arrested for suspicion of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, issued a warning for the defective brake light and transported to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center. Officers Justin Conner and Kyle Svoboda assisted with the investigation.

August 28 - Domestic assault and battery/ abuse. Officer Kyle Svoboda responded to a report of a possible domestic altercation in the 100 block of North Eighth St. Sergeant Aaron Schlegel assisted with the investigation.

August 29 - Distribution of controlled substance- including possession with intent, possession of drug paraphernalia, defective equipment, driving with license canceled/suspended/revoked, possession of dangerous drug, failure to show insurance and warrant. Sergeant Aaron Schlegel observed a vehicle with a defective windshield driven by a 27-year-old male driver who was known to the officer to have a suspended license and an outstanding felony warrant in Oklahoma County. Schlegel said in his report that he initiated a traffic stop and a search of the suspect produced a clear baggie containing a white crystal-like substance in the subject’s front pocket (which later field tested positive for methamphetamine). Officers performed a search and inventory of the vehicle and located a several controlled substances, a glass smoking pipe, various paraphernalia and a box of 357 Magnum ammunition, the report said. The suspect was arrested and transported to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center. Officer Matthew Hollon and Deputy Mike Shults assisted with the investigation.

August 31 - Domestic abuse by strangulation. Officer Christopher Mc-Daniel took a report of a domestic altercation in the 500 block of South Eighth Street.

September 3 - Forgery second-notes, checks, bills, drafts and larceny of merchandise from retailer. Sergeant Aaron Schlegel responded to a report of a customer passing a counterfeit bill at Dollar General, 1305 S. Main St. According to the report, a 22-year-old male suspect used a counterfeit $100 bill to purchase a $25 Playstation card and received cash for the remaining balance. Schlegel said in his report that he made contact with the suspect and collected the Playstation card and cash. The officer also made contact with the store manager who provided the counterfeit bill and stated he would provide video surveillance of the incident as well as a receipt of the transaction, the report said.
