Recent Kingfisher PD reports
The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated the following report:
September 26 - Possession of contraband by inmate, DUI-liquor or drugs/APCV aggravated and obedience to and required traffic control devices. Officer Christopher Mc-Daniel said in his report, that he observed a northbound vehicle on U.S. 81 drifting in its lane which then failed to yield to a red traffic signal. According to the report, the officer initiated a traffic stop and detected an odor of alcohol coming from the vehicle. Field sobriety tests were performed on the 54-yearold male driver and he was placed under arrest, the report said. Officer Steven Renbarger performed an inventory of the vehicle and located three almost empty Chelada beer cans, according to the report. The suspect was transported to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center. A search of the suspect performed at the jail produced a wooden box containing a smoking pipe and a green leafy substance, the report said.
October 3 - Driving with license canceled/ suspended/revoked, failure to show insurance and warrant. Officer Steven Renbarger said in his report that he observed a vehicle in the area of U.S. 81 and Will Rogers Drive with an expired tag and he initiated a traffic stop. According to the report, the 45-year-old male driver was driving with a suspended driver’s license and without valid insurance. It was also determined that the driver had an outstanding warrant, the report said. The driver was placed under arrest for driving while suspended and the warrant and transported to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center. Officer Kyle Svoboda assisted with the investigation.
October 3 - Operate/ APC vehicle under the influence of intoxicating substance and transporting intoxicating beverage or low-point beer. Sergeant Charles Trout responded to a traffic accident in the area of U.S. 81 and Harvey Avenue. According to the report, the 37-year-old male driver appeared to exhibit signs of intoxication and refused to perform field sobriety tests. Trout said in his report that the other driver involved in the accident reportedly stated the suspect had removed beer from his vehicle and placed it at a nearby store prior to the officer’s arrival. According to the report, Trout located three empty Busch Light beer cans in a trash bin at a nearby store and “nearly a full case of Busch Light beer just south of the shop” with the cans cold to the touch. Upon inventory of the vehicle, another unopened Busch Light beer can was located, the report said. The suspect was placed under arrest for suspicion of driving while intoxicated and transported to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center. Lieutenant Dustin Brodrick, Lieutenant Justin Trumbley and Officer Quinton Cline assisted with the investigation.
October 3 - Domestic assault and battery/ abuse. Officer Christopher Mc-Daniel responded to a report of a domestic altercation in the 1100 block of South 12th Street.
October 6 - Operate/ APC vehicle under the influence of intoxicating substance. Officer Steven Renbarger said in his report that he observed a northbound vehicle on U.S. 81 failing to maintain its lane and initiated a traffic stop. According to the report, the 26-year-old female driver appeared to exhibit signs associated with the impairment of drugs. Field sobriety tests were performed on the suspect and she was placed under arrest and transported to Mercy Hospital Kingfisher where a blood sample was drawn for testing, the report said. The suspect was then transported to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center. Officer Kyle Svoboda assisted with the investigation.
