Recent Kingfisher PD reports

The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following reports:

October 26 - Larceny of merchandise from retailer and warrant.

Officer Christopher Mc-Daniel responded to a report of theft at Walmart, 200 W. Starlite Drive.

According to the report, an asset protection employee observed a 33-year-old male suspect exit the store with an unpurchased car stereo, valued at $69.78.

McDaniel said in his report that he observed the suspect’s vehicle exit the parking lot and initiated a traffic stop on U.S. 81.

According to the report, the suspect was determined to have an outstanding warrant in Contra Coast County, Calif.

Officers searched the vehicle in which the suspect was a passenger, but did not locate any merchandise, the report said.

According to the report, the suspect abandoned the shopping cart containing the unpurchased merchandise a short distance from the main doors when the asset protection employee confronted him.

The suspect had stolen merchandise on two previous occasions, the asset protection employee reportedly stated.

The suspect was arrested for larceny of merchandise from retailer and the outstanding warrant and transported to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center.

October 27 - Operate/ APC of vehicle under the influence of intoxicating substance, child endangerment, resisting executive officer and speeding.

Officer Steven Renbarger said in his report that he observed a southbound vehicle on U.S. 81 traveling at a rate of speed above the posted limit and initiated a traffic stop.

According to the report, the 34-year-old female driver appeared to exhibit signs of intoxication and field sobriety tests were performed.

The suspect was placed under arrest for driving under the influence and transported to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center.

A minor child passenger was located in the back passenger seat and released to a family member’s custody, the report said.

Officer Christopher Mc-Daniel assisted with the investigation.
