Recent Kingfisher PD reports
The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following reports:
October 13 - Larceny of merchandise from retailer and using offensive weapon in felony.
Officer Jarred Tech responded to a report of theft at Walmart, 200 W. Starlite Drive.
According to the report, an asset protection employee stated a male and female were observed stealing merchandise and exited the store.
A description of the vehicle and its tag number were provided to officers, but they were unable to locate the vehicle, the report said.
A total of $1,075.84 in merchandise was reportedly stolen.
During the follow-up investigation, Tech said in his report that the asset protection employee provided “another packet of reports that contained lists of several other Walmarts that had thousands of dollars worth of items stolen from them…and contained pictures of the suspects that matched the pictures of the suspects from the theft in Kingfisher.”
According to the report, Tech was able to identify the 52-year-old male and 57-year-old female suspects.
October 19 - Protective order violation.
Officer Justin Conner took a report of a protective order violation in the 200 block of South Eighth Street.
November 1 - Larceny/ burglary of controlled dangerous substance.
Officer Jarred Tech responded to a report of theft of a controlled dangerous substance in the 400 block of West Don Blanding Avenue.
November 3 - Speeding and operate/APC vehicle under the influence of intoxicating substance.
Officer Steven Renbarger said in his report that he observed a northbound vehicle on U.S. 81 traveling at a speed above the posted limit and failing to maintain its lane and initiated a traffic stop.
According to the report, the 28-year-old female suspect appeared to exhibit signs of intoxication and field sobriety tests were performed.
The suspect was placed under arrest for driving under the influence and transported to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center.
The vehicle was inventoried and towed, the report said.

November 5 - Assault battery or assault and battery with dangerous weapon and planning or threatening violent act.
Sergeant Aaron Schlegel responded to a report of an assault at Casey’s General Store, 102 S. Main St.
According to the report, two employees were involved in an altercation, in which the 24-year-old male employee sustained a cut to his right elbow.
Officers made contact with the injured employee, several witnesses and the store manager, who provided surveillance footage of the incident, the report said.

November 7 - Domestic assault and battery/ abuse.
Officer Justin Conner responded to a report of a domestic altercation in the 200 block of East Oklahoma Avenue.
November 14 - Unlawful carrying weapons.
Officer Justin Conner said in his report that he observed a vehicle make an improper right turn from Overstreet Avenue to U.S. 81 and initiated a traffic stop.
According to the report, the 29-year-old male driver was determined to have brass knuckles in his possession, which were confi scated.
The suspect was issued a warning for the improper turn and another warning for failing to notify the Department of Public Safety of an address change.

November 18 - Larceny of merchandise from retailer.
Officer Kyle Svoboda responded to a report of theft at Walmart, 200 W. Starlite Drive.
According to the report, a male individual scanned items at the self-checkout, went to “get his wallet” and failed to return.
The reported total cost of the items was $10.64.
November 18 - Larceny- auto, aircraft or other motor vehicle.
Officer Matthew Hollon took a report from a U-Haul field manager regarding a stolen truck.
According to the report, a 46-year-old male suspect rented the truck for in-town use and failed to return it at the end of the lease.
Officers located the U-Haul truck at a residence on South Seventh Street and made contact with the suspect, the report said.

November 21 - Larceny of merchandise from retailer.
Sergeant Aaron Schlegel responded to a report of theft at Casey’s General Store, 102 S. Main St.
According to the report, a 29-year-old male suspect stole a compact folding phone charger and a charging cord and exited the store.
After a store employee and the officer made contact with the suspect, he returned to the store and paid for the items, the report said.
The reported value of the stolen items was $54.60.
