Recent Kingfisher Police Department reports
The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following reports:
August 8 - DUI-liquor or drugs/APCV and child endangerment.
Sergeant Aaron Schlegel responded to a report of a reckless driver on U.S. 81.
Schlegel said in his report that he observed a northbound vehicle on U.S. 81 weaving, speeding and making an unsafe lane change and he initiated a traffic stop.
According to the report, the 30-year-old female driver appeared to exhibit signs of intoxication and field sobriety tests were performed.
The suspect was issued a warning for speeding and was placed under arrest for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of an intoxicating substance and child endangerment.
Two minor children were passengers in the vehicle and were released in a relative’s care and the vehicle was towed, the report said.
The suspect was transported to Mercy Hospital Kingfisher for the state’s blood test and then booked into the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center.
August 14 - Domestic assault and battery/ abuse.
Officer Justin Conner responded to a report of a domestic altercation in the 1000 block of South Eighth Street.
Sergeant Charles Trout and Officer Kyle Svoboda assisted with the investigation.
August 14 - Planning or threatening violent act and domestic assault and battery/abuse.
Officer Christopher Mc-Daniel responded to a report of an individual making threats in the City of Kingfi sher.
August 14 - Domestic abuse by strangulation and interruption, disruption, or interference with emergency telephone call.
Sergeant Aaron Schlegel responded to a report of a domestic assault at Holiday Inn Express, 1616 S. Main St.
Sergeant Charles Trout assisted with the investigation.
August 15 - Promote certain Vis/Mat: Harass/ Prevent Conv., planning or threatening violent act and public nuisance.
Sergeant Charles Trout responded to an individual making threats at United Supermarket, 1215 S. Main St.
August 16 - Operate vehicle under influence of intoxicating substance, transporting open container- liquor and speeding.
Officer Steven Renbarger said in his report that he observed a vehicle on U.S. 81 speeding in excess of the posted speed limit and veering out its lane and initiated a traffic stop.
According to the report, the 47-year-old female driver appeared to exhibit signs of intoxication.
A cup containing wine was located in the front cup holder as well as a Michelob Ultra beer can in the center console, the report said.
According to the report, the suspect refused to perform field sobriety tests and was placed under arrest for driving under the influence.
The suspect was transported to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center and charged with driving under the influence and issued a warning for improper use of lane and citations for transporting an open container and speeding.
Officer Christopher Mc-Daniel assisted with the investigation.
August 16 - Identity theft.
Assistant Chief Dustin Brodrick took a report of identity theft in the 1200 block of Hailey’s Court.
According to the report, Michael Stephens stated a collection agency had contacted him regarding a payment default on a storage unit in California.
Stephens stated that he has never lived in California or had a storage unit there and provided officers the contact information for the storage company, the report said.
August 16 - Aggravated assault and battery on emergency medical technician.
Officer Justin Conner responded to a report of assault and battery on medical staff at Mercy Hospital Kingfisher.
According to the report, the reporting nurse stated a 26-year-old female patient “threw a remote which hit her in the right side of her head/face area” and “kicked her in the pelvic area.”
Officer Matthew Hollon photographed the injury to the victim’s face and Conner requested she take photos of her other injuries and email them to him, the report said.
August 18 - Domestic abuse committed in the presence of a child, malicious injury/destruction of property and trespass.
Officer Christopher Mc-Daniel responded to a report of a domestic disturbance in the 1600 block of Casaview Drive.
