Recent Kingfisher Police Department reports
The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following reports:
August 20 - Malicious injury/destruction of property.
Officer Kyle Svoboda made contact with the owner of a vehicle which had been vandalized in the 400 block of South Seventh Street.
According to the report, the back passenger window was broken, front passenger tire was flat, a pocket knife was embedded in the back driver side tire and the steering wheel was ripped open and wires cut as well as other damage.
The owner also reportedly advised officers that several items were stolen from the vehicle and provided the name of a possible suspect.
Officers attempted to make contact with the suspect multiple times, but were unsuccessful and also received information from another individual stating that the alleged suspect was heard bragging about causing the damage, according to the report.
Lieutenant Justin Trumbley assisted with the investigation.
August 22 - Possession of dangerous drugs prohibited, unlawful possession of paraphernalia, driving with license canceled/suspended/ revoked, possession of dangerous drugs prohibited- marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Officer Justin Conner said in his report that he observed a Dodge truck using a chain to tow a GMC Sierra, which is a violation of Oklahoma statue.
Conner determined the Dodge had an expired tag and the third brake light was inoperable and he initiated a traffic stop.
Sergeant Aaron Schlegel made contact with the 41-year-old male driver of the Dodge, who was determined to be driving with a suspended/revoked driver’s license, the report said.
A search of the suspect produced a marijuana smoking pipe, according to the report.
Officers then performed a search of the vehicle and located a clear plastic baggie containing a crystal-like substance and syringe containing a liquid-type substance in the 34-year-old female passenger’s purse, the report said.
A syringe cap with a crystal-like residue on it was also located in the vehicle, which tested field tested positive for methamphetamine, according to the report.
Both suspects were arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of methamphetamine and the male suspect was also charged with driving while suspended or revoked.
The occupants of the GMC truck were cited for municipal violations and released, the report said.
