Recent Kingfisher Police Department reports

The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following reports:

August 15 - Stalking.

Sergeant Justin Trumbley responded to a report of an unwanted person at Walmart, 200 W. Starlite Drive.

According to the report, a known 59-year-old male suspect had been in the store multiple times on Aug. 15 attempting to make contact with an employee.

Trumbley said in his report that he made contact with the employee and reviewed the video surveillance of the incidents.

August 17 - Theft.

Sergeant Justin Trumbley responded to a report of theft in the 400 block of Chisholm Drive.

According to the report, a resident stated that she was in the process of moving and discovered her safe containing birth certificates and medication was missing.

August 17 - Domestic assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

Officer Aaron Schlegel responded to a report of a domestic altercation in the 800 block of South Third Street.

Lieutenant Dustin Brodrick assisted with the investigation.

August 25 - Fraudulent use of credit card number.

Officer Matthew Hollon took a report of credit card fraud in the 300 block of Chisholm Drive.

According to the report, Cheryl Crosswhite stated on Aug. 23 she received a notifi cation from Capital One that there was an attempt to transfer $3,000 from her account.

Shortly thereafter, Crosswhite received another alert regarding a $889 payment and reward points cashed in on her account, the report said.

Crosswhite contacted Capital One to report the activity as fraudulent and was informed the credit card company would be conducting an investigation and the account was closed and a new credit card number issued, according to the report.

August 26 - Pointing firearms at another and planning or threatening violent act.

Officer Matthew Hollon responded to a report of an individual threatening another with a firearm at Mc-Donald’s, 1600 S. Main St.

A 49-year-old male reportedly stated the suspect, a 22-year-old male, almost hit his vehicle in the parking lot and there was a verbal exchange that progressed into the suspect pointing a firearm and threatening him.

Hollon said in his report that he and Officer Justin Conner made contact with the suspect who admitted to having an unloaded firearm, but denied making threatening statements or pointing the firearm at the reporting party.

Officers seized the suspect’s gun as evidence and confirmed the suspect did not have ammunition in the vehicle, the report said.

Officer Aaron Schlegel assisted with the investigation.

August 28 - Arson-first degree.

Officer Kyle Svoboda responded to the scene of a suspected arson in the 600 block of South Sixth Street.

According to the report, Kingfisher firefighters responded to a report of a house fire which initially appeared to have started near the laundry dryer, but upon further inspection also discovered “a toilet paper roll in the attic that was on fire.”

The resident reportedly stated that he came home to discover his door cracked open and smoke came out upon opening the door.

After the fire was extinguished, the resident searched the house and discovered papers and clothes scattered throughout, but nothing appeared to be missing initially, the report said. Officers took photographs and fingerprints at the scene and also determined that approximately 100 insulin syringes belonging to the resident were missing, according to the report.

An agent from the Oklahoma State Fire Marshal arrived on the scene and, upon further inspection, observed that a burner on the stove was also left on high, the report said.

Officer Jarred Tech assisted with the investigation.

August 31 - Public intoxication.

Officer Derek Grassman responded to a report of threats in the 200 block of East Miles Avenue.

Grassman said in his report that a 58-year-old male alleged that people were making threats against him.

According to the report, the man appeared to exhibit signs of intoxication and was placed under arrest for public intoxication.

The suspect was then transported to Mercy Hospital Kingfisher where he received medical clearance for incarceration and transported to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center, according to the report.

The suspect’s vehicle, which was partially in the roadway and blocking an entrance, was inventoried and towed, the report said.
