Recent Kingfisher Police Department reports
The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following reports: December 24 - Larceny of merchandise from retailer.
Officer Christopher Mc-Daniel responded to a report of theft at Walmart, 200 Starlite Drive.
According to the report, two suspects - a 37-year-old male and 79-year-old male - paid for some items, but exited the store with an unpurchased bag of dog food.
Surveillance footage and photographs of the suspects was provided to the officer.
The reported value of the stolen merchandise was $25.98.
January 1 - Larceny of merchandise from retailer.
Officer Matthew Hollon responded to a report of theft at Dollar General, 1305 S. Main St.
According to the report, a 39-year-old female suspect was observed on surveillance footage scanning items at the self checkout where she fraudulently used a clearance item barcode for three items and failed to scan another item, then exited the store.
Hollon said in his report that he made contact with the suspect at her residence and “could plainly see the bag containing the stolen merchandise” in the suspect’s vehicle. According to the report, the suspect surrendered the stolen property to the officer, which was then photographed and returned to the store manager.
The reported value of the stolen merchandise was $29.50.

January 7 - Larceny of merchandise from retailer.
Officer Matthew Hollon responded to a report of theft at Walmart, 200 W. Starlite Drive.
Hollon said in his report that he reviewed surveillance footage in which he observed a 47-year-old female and 38-year-old female fail to scan multiple items at the self-checkout and then exit the store with the stolen merchandise.
The reported value of the stolen merchandise was $91.82.
According to the report, Officer Christopher Mc-Daniel noted the suspects’ vehicle tag number as it exited the store parking lot and the suspects were later identified through photographs posted on the Kingfisher Police Department Facebook page.
January 11 - Violation of safety zone, failure to register as sex offender and sex offender residing within 2,000 feet of school.
Sergeant Justin Trumbley said in his report that he was contacted by the Department of Corrections Sex Offender administrative manager regarding a 32-year-old male suspect who was required to register as a sex offender, but failed to do so.
According to the report, Trumbley made contact with the suspect at a residence in the 100 block of Thompson Drive, near a city park and Gilmour Elementary School.
Trumbley said in his report that he informed the suspect that he was not allowed to reside within 2,000 feet of a school or park as a registered sex offender and would need to leave the residence.
Officers Derek Grassman and Jarred Tech assisted with the investigation.
January 12 - Driving with license canceled/ suspended/revoked and unlawful possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
Officer Steven Renbarger said in his report that he observed a southbound vehicle on U.S. 81 in which the driver was known to have a suspended license.
According to the report, after confirming with dispatch the 39-year-old female suspect had a suspended license, Renbarger made contact with the suspect and placed her under arrest for driving under suspension.
The suspect was then transported to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center.
Upon arrival, jail staff informed the suspect that if anything illegal was found on her person it would become a felony charge and the suspect advised that she did have something in her pants, the report said.
A small baggy of white crystal-like substance was located and field tested positive for methamphetamine, according to the report.
The vehicle was inventoried and impounded.

January 12 - Petit larceny- state.
Sergeant Justin Trumbley responded to a report of theft at Jacket Laundry, 1303 S. Main St.
According to the report, Jared Yost stated that his wife had taken a comforter to the laundromat and when she returned it was missing.
Trumbley reviewed the surveillance footage and observed a 78-year-old female remove the comforter and place it in her vehicle before returning to get her laundry, the report said.
Trumbley identified the suspect and attempted to make contact with her, according to the report.
January 14 - Unlawful possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
Officer Kyle Svoboda was dispatched to a residence in the 1300 block of South 12th Place in reference to an unwanted person.
According to the report, a 38-year-old female was located in the residence and the homeowners stated they wanted her to leave.
Officers offered the individual a ride to another place, but informed her they would need to make sure she didn’t have any weapons or anything illegal on her person before transporting her, the report said.
Svoboda said in his report that when he patted the suspect down he located a container with a white crystal-like substance which field tested positive for methamphetamine.
The suspect was placed under arrest for possession of methamphetamine and transported to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center.
Sergeant Charles Trout and Officer Steven Renbarger assisted with the investigation.
January 16 - Unlawful possession of a controlled dangerous substance, unlawful possession of paraphernalia and warrant.
Officer Steven Renbarger said in his report that he observed a vehicle traveling on Sheridan Avenue with an inoperable headlight and Sergeant Charles Trout initiated a traffic stop.
According to the report, officers checked the driver and the three passengers for possible outstanding warrants and discovered a 31-year-old male passenger had a warrant.
The driver was issued a warning for the inoperable headlight and the passenger with the warrant was placed under arrest and transported to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center.
Upon transporting the suspect, officers searched the back seat of the patrol car and located a glass pipe containing a burnt and white crystal-like substance, the report said.
The suspect was additionally charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of paraphernalia.

January 16 - Domestic assault and battery/ abuse.
Officer Steven Renbarger responded to a report of an altercation in the 200 block of East Miles Avenue.
Sergeant Charles Trout assisted with the investigation.
January 18 - Obtaining refund by false information.
Officer Steven Renbarger took a report regarding a stolen phone.
According to the report, Michael Condon of Idaho stated he listed a phone for sale online and an individual requested that it be mailed to an address on Massey Avenue, but didn’t send a payment.
Renbarger said in his report that he made contact with the homeowner on Massey Avenue who stated that he received the package and didn’t know what to do with it.
Officers took possession of the package, which had not been opened, and returned it to the owner, the report said.
January 18 - Unlawful possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, distribution of controlled dangerous substance near to park/ school/minor under 12 and possession of dangerous drugs prohibited- marijuana.
Officer Kyle Svoboda said in his report that he and other officers executed a search warrant at a residence in the 1000 block of South Eighth Street.
According to the report, a 35-year-old female and 42-year-old male were present at the residence.
Officers searched the residence and located multiple bags and/or containers containing crystal substances in which one container field tested positive for methamphetamine, a digital scale, a pipe and other paraphernalia, according to the report.
The suspects were placed under arrest for possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of controlled dangerous substances with intent to distribute and transported to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center.
January 18 - Larceny of merchandise from retailer.
Lieutenant Dustin Brodrick responded to a report of theft at Atwoods, 1213 S. Main St.
According to the report, officers were investigating a minor traffic accident in the Atwoods parking lot when they were informed that two individuals had triggered the security alarm while exiting the store.
Brodrick said in his report that he and Captain Travis Gray pursued the suspects’ vehicle and initiated a traffic stop.
Officers made contact with the 36-year-old male driver and 36-year-old female passenger, questioning them about the suspected theft from Atwoods, which they denied, the report said.
Officer Quinton Cline reviewed the surveillance footage of the two suspects as they abandoned a shopping cart containing two empty Dewalt impact wrenches boxes as they exited the store, according to the report.
Officers requested permission to search the vehicle, but the driver denied access, the report said.
Brodrick said in his report that the two subjects were released “due to not having all of the information and video evidence reviewed from Atwoods,” but informed the pair that warrants could possibly be issued for their arrest.
The reported value of the stolen merchandise was $599.98.
January 22 - Larceny from building.
Lieutenant Dustin Brodrick took a report of theft at Johnsons of Kingfisher, 1801 S. Main St.
According to the report, Jeff Johnson stated that a used dealer tag had been missing since approxi- mately Nov. 2 and since it had not been located, he wanted to report it stolen.
The tag was entered into the National Crime Information Center database.
January 23 - Malicious injury/destruction of property and dumping trash on public/private property.
Officer Steven Renbarger said in his report that he observed a large quantity of trash in the roadway of Third Street.
While investigating the incident, a witness came forward and stated she “heard a crashing sound outside of her house and screaming,” the report said.
Renbarger said in his report that he reviewed the witness’ surveillance footage, in which a vehicle is seen driving by her house and striking the trash can near the roadway.
According to the report, Renbarger also reviewed the incident on another nearby resident’s surveilbills. lance footage.
Once officers cleared the roadway and left the scene, they also observed that a vehicle had departed the roadway near Bowman and Third Street and struck a stop sign, the report said.
January 25 - Burglary- second degree.
Sergeant Justin Trumbley took a report of theft in the 2300 block of South 15th St.
Mark Winans reportedly stated two firearms - a Henry 357 lever action rifle and a Kimber 1911 .45 caliber handgun - were stolen from his vehicle.
The reported value of each firearm was $1,000.
January 26 - Warrant and obstructing officer.
Officer Justin Conner was dispatched to Tony’s Truck Stop, 100 Mitchell Blvd., in reference to a female suspect with a warrant, who was being pursued by bounty hunters.
According to the report, officers met with an individual associated with Pursuit Team OKC and after confirming the warrant with dispatch, made contact with the 49-year-old female suspect.
Conner said in his report that the suspect claimed her tribal identification card had recently burned in a fire and provided the officers with a false name.
The suspect eventually admitted to her real identity and was placed under arrest for an outstanding warrant in Jackson County and obstructing an officer, the report said.
The suspect was then transported to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center.
January 27 - Larceny- auto, aircraft or other motor vehicle.
Officer Justin Conner took a report of theft in the area of U.S. 81 and Miles Avenue.
According to the report, Ace Ince stated that his 2004 Chevrolet Silverado had been stolen and provided officers with the vehicle’s identifying information.
