Recent Kingfisher Police Department reports
The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following reports: April 11 - Larceny of merchandise from retailer.
Officer Jarred Tech responded to a report of theft at Walmart, 200 W. Starlite Drive.
According to the report, a 39-year-old female and 37-year-old male suspect exited the store without paying for merchandise.
Photographs and video surveillance of the incident were provided to the officer, the report said.
The reported value of the stolen merchandise was $109.94.
April 15 - Obtain contribution for charity by false pretense.
Sergeant Charles Trout took a report regarding possible fraud of a charitable organization in the 800 block of South Third Street.
April 18 - Driving with license canceled/ suspended/revoked, failure to wear seatbelt, failure to show insurance, DUI-liquor or drugs/ APCV, distribution of controlled substance-including possible with intent and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Corporal Aaron Schlegel said in his report that he observed a 31-year-old male subject, known to have no valid driver’s license, driving a vehicle in the area of South 13th Street and Starlite Drive and initiated a traffic stop.
According to the report, the suspect appeared to exhibit signs of intoxication and a search of the suspect revealed a partial piece of a pen with a white residue (which tested positive for methamphetamine) and a bag containing a white crystal-like substance (also positive for meth) and baggies on the individual.
Field sobriety tests were performed and the suspect was placed under arrest for suspicion of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs, operating a motor vehicle while driver’s license is revoked and possession of controlled dangerous substance (methamphetamine).
A subsequent search of the vehicle produced more methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, the report said.
The suspect was transported to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center and other charges against the suspect included no insurance, failure to wear properly adjusted safety belt, possession of a controlled and dangerous substance with intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia.

April 21 - Fraudulent removal of property.
Officer Steven Renbarger said in his report that he observed a missing stop sign at the intersection of Starlite Drive and South 13th Street.
According to the report, Renbarger searched the area, but was unable to locate the missing sign and contacted the street department to replace it.
April 23 - Larceny of merchandise from retailer.
Corporal Aaron Schlegel responded to a report of theft at Walmart, 200 W. Starlite Drive.
According to the report, two male subjects were observed on surveillance footage arriving to the store in separate vehicles, but making contact prior to entering the store.
One of the subjects paid for a package of candy at the self-checkout and the other subject placed various items in a shopping cart, then exited through the garden center without paying for the merchandise, the report said.
A store employee stated that the surveillance cameras in the garden center were not working at that time and she could not determine what was stolen or its value, according to the report.
April 24 - Malicious injury to property-over $1,000.
Sergeant Justin Trumbley responded to a report of property damage in the 300 block of North Fifth Street.
According to the report, James Striegl stated a mirror on his vehicle was damaged while parked overnight in the parking lot.
Officers also noticed a Chevrolet pickup nearby had a broken mirror and made contact with the owner, who said it had occurred a few days ago, along with a flat tire, and he had not reported it to the police, according to the report.
April 24 - Planning or threatening a violent act.
Officer Kyle Svoboda responded to a report of a disturbance at the Vernie Snow Aquatic Center, 400 Park Road.
According to the report, the aquatic center manager Richard Greene stated that a patron using the women’s locker room along with her young son heard “someone pounding on the wall, screaming, cursing and making threats to kill someone” from the men’s locker room.
Greene and City Manager Jim Thomas investigated the report and discovered an employee was responsible for the incident, the report said.
The employee was sent home for the day and later fired, Greene reportedly said, noting another incident had previously occurred with the employee making threats against another employee.
May 1 - Malicious injury/ destruction of property.
Officer Justin Conner responded to a report of property damage at Love’s Country Store, 203 S. Main St.
According to the report, a customer backed into the CNG pump and left the scene.
A description of the vehicle was provided to officers, with video surveillance footage to follow.
May 1 - Unauthorized use of a vehicle.
Officer Christopher Mc-Daniel responded to a report of a stolen vehicle in the 900 block of South 10th St.
According to the report, a vehicle was loaned to a known 28-year-old male suspect on April 14 for one week, but he failed to return the vehicle.
McDaniel said in his report that he entered the vehicle’s identification information into the National Crime Information Center.
May 4 - Larceny of merchandise from retailer, conspiracy and receiving/ possessing/ concealing stolen property.
Corporal Aaron Schlegel responded to a report of theft at Casey’s General Store, 102 S. Main St.
According to the report, two male individuals and a female were observed looking at sunglasses in the store and the 32-year-old male suspect then entered the bathroom with the sunglasses in hand and returned with them on his hat.
The store employee said she observed the incident as well as a tag to the sunglasses on the floor and confronted the suspect when he exited the bathroom, the report said.
The suspect then went to the front of the store where the 39-year-old suspect was located and they exited the store without purchasing the merchandise, according to the report.
Schlegel said in his report that he made contact with the 32-year-old suspect at a residence and the suspect initially denied taking the sunglasses, but then stated the other suspect now possessed them.
Schlegel then made contact with the 39-year-old suspect at his residence and he turned over the sunglasses to the officer, the report said.
Schlegel said in his report that the 39-year-old suspect was charged with conspiracy and knowingly concealing property and the 32-year-old charged with conspiracy and larceny from a retailer.
May 4 - Driving with license canceled/suspended/ revoked and eluding a police officer.
Officer Justin Conner said in his report he observed a vehicle with an inoperable brake light and initiated a traffic stop, with the vehicle coming to a halt at a residence.
According to the report, an individual was observed fleeing in an eastbound direction and a female suspect was also observed walking away in a northbound direction as a male suspect attempted to stop the vehicle from rolling into the street.
Conner said in his report he ordered the male and female to the ground, while Officer Jarred Tech and Deputy Mike Shults located the 38-year-old female suspect who fled.
According to the report, the 38-year-old female was determined to be the driver of the vehicle and was driving without a valid license.
Conner also said in his report that he determined the brake light was operable, but was unable to be seen due to a tarp covering it.
The driver was placed under arrest for driving with license canceled/suspended/ revoked and eluding police officer.
