Recent Kingfisher Police Department reports

The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following reports:

May 31 - Possession of dangerous drugs prohibited and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Lieutenant Dustin Brodrick responded to Love’s Country Store, 201 S. Main St., for a report of “a silver truck parked at pump eight that had been there all night with the subject slumped over,” according to the report.

Brodrick said in his report that he observed a 30-year-old male driver who appeared to be asleep with a small clear plastic baggie containing a crystalline substance resting on his leg.

Brodrick made contact with the suspect and also observed a piece of foil with residue on it near the suspect’s lap, the report said.

The suspect was placed under arrest for possession of a controlled dangerous substance.

The vehicle was searched and a pipe/straw, clear plastic baggie containing a white rock-like substance, another clear plastic baggie containing numerous small bags and a piece of foil with residue on it were located, the report said.

An inventory of the vehicle was performed and it was towed from the scene.

Captain Travis Gray assisted with the investigation.

May 31 - Unsafe lane use, DUI-liquor or drugs/ APCV aggravated and transporting open container- liquor.

Officer Christopher Mc-Daniel said in his report that he observed a southbound vehicle on U.S. 81 failing to maintain its lane and initiated a traffic stop.

According to the report, the 41-year-old female driver appeared to exhibit signs of intoxication.

McDaniel performed field sobriety tests on the suspect and placed her under arrest for driving under the influence, the report said.

A search of the suspect’s vehicle produced a cup containing “a rose-colored liquid that smelled of alcohol,” according to the report.

Officer Steven Renbarger assisted with the investigation.

June 4 - Malicious injury to property-over $1,000.

Sergeant Justin Trumbley responded to a report of vandalism in the 1200 block of South 10th Street.

Trumbley said in his report that he observed a car in the alley in which the back passenger side window had been damaged by what appeared to be shots from a BB gun.

June 6 - Domestic assault and battery/abuse and resisting executive officer.

Lieutenant Dustin Brodrick responded to a report of domestic altercation in the 800 block of South Third Street.

Captain Travis Gray and Officer Quinton Cline assisted with the investigation.

June 8 - Unlawful possession of paraphernalia and possession of dangerous drugs prohibited.

Officer Justin Conner said in his report that he observed a vehicle on South Sixth Street with an inoperable third brake light and initiated a traffic stop.

According to the report, the 33-year-old male driver was unable to provide insurance verification for the vehicle.

Conner said in his report that he issued the driver a warning for the defective brake light and performed a search of the vehicle before it was impounded.

According to the report, officers discovered a small glass vial containing two white chunks of a substance and a small amount of clear liquid as well as a white powder on the lid, which tested positive for methamphetamine.

A search of the suspect’s possessions was also performed and a glass smoking pipe with white residue was discovered, the report said.

The suspect was placed under arrest for unlawful possession of paraphernalia and possession of dangerous drugs prohibited and transported to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center.

Corporal Aaron Schlegel assisted with the investigation.

June 14 - Assault and battery on a police officer, DUI-liquor or drugs/ APCV, transporting open container-liquor, obstructing officer and unsafe lane use.

According to the report, Officer Christopher Mc-Daniel observed a southbound vehicle on U.S. 81 failing to maintain its lane and initiated a traffic stop.

McDaniel said in his report that the 30-year-old male suspect appeared to exhibit signs of intoxication and field sobriety tests were performed.

Two half-full Michelob Ultra beer cans were also located in the suspect’s vehicle, the report said.

According to the report, the suspect resisted officers’ attempt to place him under arrest, but was ultimately arrested and transported to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center.

Deputy Charles Blackburn assisted with the investigation.

June 15 - Domestic assault and battery/abuse.

Officer Christopher Mc-Daniel responded to a report of a domestic altercation in the 900 block of South 12th Street.

June 16 - Trespass.

Officer Jarred Tech responded to a report of trespassing in the 500 block of South Main Street.

According to the report, Ashley Cowan Neal stated she observed two individuals in the area behind her residence on several different nights and another male individual riding a bike around her cars and garage.

Neal provided surveillance footage of the individual riding a bike on her property, in which Tech was able to identify the 45-yearold male suspect, the report said.

June 16 - Planning or threatening violent act.

Officer Matthew Hollon responded to a report of an individual making threatening statements in the 700 block of South Main Street.

June 17 - Possession of counterfeit coin with intent to circulate.

Sergeant Charles Trout responded to a report of counterfeit money at Jacket Corner, 701 N. Main St.

According to the report, a 66-year-old male suspect attempted to purchase cigarettes with a counterfeit $100 bill.
