Recent Kingfisher Police Department reports

The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following reports: June 19 - Leaving the scene of accident involving damage.

Officer Christopher Mc-Daniel said in his report that he observed a truck pulling a camper at Love’s Country Store, 203 S. Main St., which had damage to the roof-top air conditioning units.

According to the report, McDaniel questioned the 48-year-old male driver regarding the damage.

The driver informed the officer that he had just come from Sudz and Co., 1209 S. Main St., the report said.

Officer Steven Renbarger went to that location where he observed damage to a carwash bay, as well as fragments from an RV, according to the report.

Renbarger also spoke to a witness regarding the incident, the report said.

June 20 - Burglary-second degree (auto parts).

Lieutenant Dustin Brodrick responded to a report of theft at Johnsons of Kingfi sher, 1801 S. Main St.

According to the report, a male suspect stole a B&W hitch from a vehicle located at the service department and the incident was captured on surveillance video.

Several hours later the same suspect attempted to sell the hitch to a Johnsons employee at Jacket Corner Store, 701 N. Main St., but had left the area before Corporal Aaron Schlegel arrived, the report said.

Officers reviewed surveillance footage of the suspect at Jacket Corner Store.

Brodrick said in his report that he was informed by a Johnsons employee that the suspect had also attempted to take another hitch from a different vehicle, but was unsuccessful.

The reported value of the B&W hitch was approximately $300.

June 20 - Malicious injury/destruction of property-state.

Corporal Aaron Schlegel responded to a report of property damage at Kingfi sher High School, 1500 S. 13th St.

According to the report, a known 41-year-old male damaged a locked gate in the back parking lot.

The suspect admitted to breaking the lock and said he was sorry for doing so, according to the report.

Additionally, he stated that “he was frustrated about the whole construction area and having to go all the way around,” the report said.

The suspect reportedly stated that he would pay for the lock and had made arrangements for a welder to repair the damage to the gate.

June 23 - Threatening or intimidating employees.

Officer Jarred Tech responded to a report of threatening statements being made at Love’s Country Store, 203 S. Main St.

According to the report, a Love’s employee stated that a customer became upset when “a lady cut in front” of him in line.

The cashier tried to calm the known 60-year-old male, but he began to make threatening statements toward the cashier before leaving the property, the report said.

Officers made contact with the suspect at his home and questioned him about the incident, according to the report.

Officer Steven Renbarger assisted with the investigation.

June 28 - Obscene/ threatening or harassing phone calls.

Sergeant Justin Trumbley took a report regarding harassing phone calls in the 700 block of South 10th Street.
