Recent Kingfisher Police Department reports
The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following reports: July 12 - Complaint/ property damage.
Corporal Aaron Schlegel took a report of property damage in the area of U.S. 81 and Will Rogers Drive.
According to the report, Jill Glazier stated that a piece of a construction sign at the intersection of U.S. 81 and Will Rogers Drive came loose and struck her vehicle.
Schlegel said in his report that he contacted the owner/manager of the construction company, Zyzer, and the owner said would get in contact with the reporting party regarding the incident.
The estimated damage was $1,694.01, the report said.
July 15 - Driving with license canceled/ suspended/revoked, unlawful possession of a controlled dangerous substance (two counts) and unlawful possession of paraphernalia.
Officer Steven Renbarger said in his report that he observed a southbound vehicle on U.S. 81 without a license plate and an inoperable third brake light and initiated a traffic stop.
According to the report, the 35-year-old male driver was driving without a valid driver’s license and did not have insurance or a bill of sale for the vehicle.
Officers performed an inventory of the vehicle and discovered five syringes, all appeared to be empty except one which was field tested for methamphetamine and produced a positive result, the report said.
The driver was placed under arrest and issued citations for failure to comply with compulsory insurance law, operating a vehicle while suspended/denied/ revoked, failure to register used vehicle within 30 days as well as a warning for a defective third brake light.
A baggie containing a white crystal-like substance was also located in the officer’s vehicle after transporting the suspect to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center, the report said.
According to the report, the suspect was charged with two separate counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance - for the syringe located in the vehicle and the baggie of crystal- like substance which also field tested positive for methamphetamine.
A female passenger was also placed under arrest for an outstanding warrant in Oklahoma County.
Sergeant Charles Trout and Officer Kyle Svoboda assisted with the investigation.
July 16 - Obscene/ threatening or harassing phone calls.
Lieutenant Dustin Brodrick took a report regarding harassing text messages in the 900 block of South Sixth Street.
July 23 - Unlawful possession of a controlled dangerous substance and unlawful possession of paraphernalia.
Corporal Aaron Schlegel said in his report that he observed a vehicle displaying a fraudulent paper tag in the area of South 13th Street and Starlite Drive and initiated a traffic stop.
According to the report, the 45-year-old male driver stated “he had borrowed the pickup from a friend, so he didn’t know anything about the tag.”
Officers were able to determine who owned the vehicle and the suspect was unable to produce insurance verification, according to the report.
The suspect was issued three municipal citations operating a motor vehicle on which all taxes due to state have not been paid, failure to comply with the compulsory insurance law and affixing a tag with intent to conceal the identity.
Upon inventory of the vehicle, a baggie containing a white crystal-like substance was located, which later field tested positive for methamphetamine, the report said.
The suspect was placed under arrest for possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia and transported to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center.
Officer Justin Conner and Undersheriff Jonathan Riedlinger assisted with the investigation.
