Recent Kingfisher police reports

The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following reports: April 11 - Larceny of merchandise from retailer.

Corporal Aaron Schlegel responded to a report of theft at Casey’s General Store, 102 S. Main St.

According to the report, a known 59-year-old male suspect stole two food items totaling $10.38 in value from Casey’s General Store.

Schlegel located the suspect, who was observed to have the items in his possession and appeared to exhibit signs of intoxication, the report said.

The store manager provided the officer with video surveillance footage of the incident.

April 13 - Grand larceny in house or vessel, pattern of criminal offenses and larceny from the house.

Officer Matthew Hollon responded to a report of burglary in the 2200 block of South 13th St.

Kenneth Jung reportedly stated that when he returned home after being away for some time he discovered multiple items were missing, including cash, a collection of old coins, jewelry and a bottle of medication.

According to the report, several individuals had access to the residence during that time and officers interviewed those individuals in regards to the burglary as well as other people with possible information about the incident.

A 38-year-old male suspect made a confession in regards to certain aspects of the burglary and was placed under arrest and charged with grand larceny in house or vessel, pattern of criminal offenses and larceny from the house, according to the report.

The suspect was transported to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center.

Hollon said in his report that there was also probable cause for arrest of a 56-yearold male suspected to be involved in the burglary.

Officers were able to track some of the stolen items to a pawn shop, but were unrecoverable, the report said.

Corporal Aaron Schlegel and Kingfisher County Sheriff’s Deputy Charles Blackburn assisted with the investigation.

April 15 - Larceny of lost property.

Officer Matthew Hollon responded to a report of theft at Dollar General, 1305 S. Main St.

According to the report, Kary Ward reported that she made a purchase at the store and discovered her wallet was missing when she returned to her car.

Surveillance footage revealed the male in line behind her “picked up her wallet and put it in his bag on his way out of the store,” the report said.

Officers searched the area for the suspect, but were unable to locate him, according to the report.
