The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following reports:

August 18 - Public intoxication. Officer Jeffrey Robbins responded to a report of a suspicious individual in the area of Main Street and Admire Avenue.

Robbins s aid in his report that he located the 43-year-old male suspect and upon requesting his identification, the suspect provided an identification card from Virginia.

According to the report, the suspect appeared to be confused and disoriented as well as exhibited signs of intoxication.

Robbins performed a field sobriety test on the suspect, which he was unable to satisfactorily complete, the report said.

The suspect was placed under arrest for public intoxication and transported to Mercy Hospital Kingfisher where he was medically cleared for incarceration, according to the report.

Robbins then transported the suspect to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center.

August 18 - Uttering forged instrument, possession of controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Officer Tyler Girten responded to a report of an individual attempting to cash a fraudulent check at BancFirst drive-thru, 124 S. Main St.

According to the report, a representative of BancFirst stated an individual, who was still on the scene, had attempted to cash a $500 check on an closed account of a deceased customer.

Girten said in his report that he made contact with the 26-year-old male suspect and questioned him regarding how he obtained the check.

The suspect stated he had received it from an individual in El Reno as payment for yard work he had completed for the man, according to the report.

Girten placed the suspect under arrest for uttering a forged instrument.

Upon search of the suspect, Girten located a syringe containing liquid as well as a bag containing a white crystal-like substance, the report said.

According to the report the liquid in the syringe tested positive for methamphetamine and a test performed on the white crystal-like substance was inconclusive. The seized items were sent to the OSBI for further testing.

The suspect was additionally charged with possession of controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Girten transported the suspect to Mercy Hospital Kingfisher, where he received medical clearance for incarceration and was transported to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center.
