The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following reports:

July 23 - Assault and/ or battery with a deadly weapon, sexual battery, planning or threatening violent act and indecent exposure-state.

Officer Jarred Tech responded to a report of suspect threatening individuals with a knife at Payless Inn, 2300 Frontage Road.

According to the report, a 44-year-old male suspect made threatening statements and lunged at two individuals while holding a knife.

The suspect also exposed himself and committed sexual battery upon the female subject, the report said.

After reviewing surveillance footage, officers entered the suspect’s room and placed him under arrest, according to the report.

The suspect also made threatening statements to police officers and a jailer, the report said.

Sergeant Justin Trumbley and Deputy Michael Farrar assisted with the investigation.

July 24 - Larceny of merchandise from retailer and receiving/possessing/ concealing stolen property.

Corporal Aaron Schlegel responded to a report of theft at Atwoods, 1213 S. Main St.

According to the report, a 72-year-old male suspect removed two Dewalt batteries from their packaging and exited the store without paying for them.

Officer Justin Conner located the suspect in the area of South Sixth Street and East Locust Avenue, according to the report.

Schlegel said in his report that the suspect was observed with the two batteries on his person.

The total reported value of the merchandise was $339.98.

July 25 - Driving with license canceled/suspended/ revoked.

Officer Justin Conner said in his report that he observed a known female driver who was driving with a suspended license in the area of Main Street and Miles Avenue and initiated a traffic stop.

According to the report, the 39-year-old female suspect was placed under arrest for driving with a suspended license and transported to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center.

Corporal Aaron Schlegel assisted with the investigation.
