The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following reports: October 5 - Larceny of merchandise from retailer.

Officer Kyle Svoboda responded to a report of theft at Walmart, 200 W. Starlite Drive.

According to the report, a 49-year-old female suspect was observed scanning only a portion of the items during the self-checkout process and then attempted to exit the store with the merchandise.

The reported value of the stolen items was $47.88.

October 8 - Operate vehicle while suspended, denied, revoked.

Officer Jarred Tech said in his report that he observed a northbound vehicle on U.S. 81 traveling at a rate of speed above the posted limit and initiated a traffic stop.

According to the report, the 21-year-old male suspect was determined to be driving with a suspended driver’s license and was arrested and transported to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center.

Officer Kyle Svoboda performed an inventory of the vehicle and it was towed, the report said.

October 8 - Expired tag, operate/APC vehicle under the influence of intoxicating susbstance, operate vehicle while suspended, denied, revoked, warrant and child endangerment.

Sergeant Aaron Schlegel said in his report that he observed a vehicle on U.S. 81 with an expired tag and initiated a traffic stop.

According to the report, the 40-year-old female driver was driving with a suspended driver’s license and had two outstanding traffic warrants.

An odor of marijuana was detected coming from the vehicle and “a burning marijuana joint” was observed on the floorboard in the area between the suspect’s feet by the officer, the report said.

The suspect reportedly stated “she didn’t know how it got there,” but produced a bag of marijuana and a medical marijuana license.

Schlegel said in his report that the suspect appeared to be under the influence and field sobriety tests were performed.

The suspect was placed under arrest for the warrants, failure to pay taxes due to state, operating a motor vehicle while driver’s license is suspended, driving under the influence of drugs and child endangerment.

A juvenile passenger was present in the back seat and released to the custody of a family member, the report said.

The suspect was transported to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center and the vehicle was inventoried and towed.

Officers Kyle Svoboda and Kejaun Joseph assisted with the investigation.

October 11 - Operate vehicle while suspended, denied, revoked, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of dangerous drugs prohibited- marijuana and unlawful possession of a controlled dangerous substance.

Officer Jarred Tech said in his report that he observed a westbound vehicle on Bowman Avenue with a 43-year-old male driver known to him to have a suspended driver’s license and he initiated a traffic stop.

According to the report, it was determined the suspect had two outstanding warrants in other counties.

The suspect was placed under arrest for driving with a suspended license and transported to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center.

Officers performed an inventory of the vehicle and located three pre-rolled marijuana cigarettes, a marijuana grinder and a glass tube containing a crystal-like substance (which later field tested positive for methamphetamine), the report said.

According to the report, another glass tube similar to the one located in the vehicle was discovered on the suspect.

The suspect was additionally charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of marijuana.

October 12 - No valid driver’s license and carry firearms after conviction/ during probation.

Officer Kejuan Joseph said in his report that he observed a northbound vehicle on U.S. 81 with its high beams activated and initiated a traffic stop.

According to the report, the 33-year-old male driver was driving with a suspended driver’s license.

Joseph said in his report that he detected a strong odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle and, upon a search of the vehicle, he located a small caliber handgun.

The suspect was placed under arrest for being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm and issued a citation for driving under suspension, the report said.

Further search of the vehicle produced an open bottle of liquor on the passenger side and the female passenger was cited for the open container of alcohol, according to the report.

The suspect was transported to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center.

Officer Christopher Mc-Daniel assisted with the investigation.

October 13 - Domestic assault and battery/ abuse.

Officer Justin Conner responded to a report of a domestic disturbance in the 600 block of West Chisholm Drive.

October 13 - Possession of controlled substance.

Officer Kejuan Joseph responded to a report of an altercation in the 1300 block of South Eleventh Street.

According to the report, Deputy Jason Wiebelt observed “a white powdery substance” on a 21-year-old female suspect at the scene.

Officers performed a search of the vehicle she was located in and discovered a pill identified as oxycodone in the glove compartment, the report said.

The suspect was placed under arrest for possession of a dangerous controlled substance and transported to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center.

Officer Christopher Mc-Daniel assisted with the investigation.

October 14 - Domestic abuse by strangulation.

Sergeant Charles Trout responded to a report of a domestic altercation in the 400 block of South 10th Street.
