The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following reports:

March 6 - Larceny of dogs. — Officer Quinton Cline responded to a report of a stolen dog in the 800 block of South 11th Street. According to the report, an individual stated that her Miniature Australian Shepherd escaped from its yard and, based on surveillance footage, was picked up by one of two individuals walking in the area of Shaw Park. The reporting party stated her dog got out of the yard at approximately 4 p.m. and when she came out of her house at 4:04 p.m., the dog was gone, according to the report. Cline said in his report that surveillance footage depicts two unidentified subjects walking westward in Shaw Park, where one individual picks up the dog and then the two proceed to a vehicle which left the scene. A person of interest was established and Cline attempted to make contact with the 24-year-old female suspect, but was unsuccessful, the report said. Officer Matthew Hollon made a second attempt to contact the suspect and was able to retrieve the dog and return it to its owner, according to the report.

March 10 - Obtain money/property with false negotiable paper. — Officer Michael Farrar responded to a report of counterfeit money at Braum’s, 1615 S. Main St. According to the report, a 56-year-old male suspect attempted to pay for food with a $100 counterfeit bill in the drive-thru. The manager confronted the suspect, who then paid for his food with a debit card and provided his name (which was spelled incorrectly) and a phone number, the report said. Farrar made contact with the suspect who had five more counterfeit bills in his possession, according to the report.
