The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following reports:

Sept. 17 – Theft. Officer Brandon Chapman responded to a report of theft in the 500 block of South Fifth Street.

Tamara James reportedly stated she let a known individual borrow her cell phone and he did not return it.

Chapman said in his report that he attempted to locate the 21-year-old male suspect and followed up on other leads concerning the possible location of the phone.

Officer Charles Trout assisted with the investigation.

Sept. 17 – Driving with license canceled/suspended/revoked.

Officer Justin Conner said in his report that he was on patrol in the area of South Sixth Street and East Bowman Avenue when he observed a vehicle traveling east on Bowman Avenue with inoperable brake lights.

According to the report, Conner initiated a traffic stop of the vehicle and made contact with the 38-year-old male driver.

Conner determined the driver was driving without a valid driver’s license and was placed under arrest for driving with a revoked driver’s license and the vehicle was impounded, the report said.

Officer Aaron Schlegel assisted with the investigation.

Sept. 20 – Unauthorized use of a vehicle. Officer Justin Trumbley took a report regarding theft of a vehicle in the 500 block of West Miles Avenue.

Marianne Hamilton reportedly stated her 2017 Monte Carlo was parked in the area of 500 W. Miles due to engine trouble and she asked a known individual to transport it to the mechanic’s shop nearby.

According to the report, Hamilton later discovered her car was not at the mechanic’s shop, but had been impounded in Oklahoma City.

Hamilton made contact with the known 40-year-old male suspected of taking the vehicle and provided Trumbley with the cell phone transcript of the interaction, the report said.

Sept. 21 – Protective order violation. Officer Dustin Brodrick took a report of a protective order violation in the 1100 block of Stonemill Drive.

Sept. 21 – Driving with license canceled/suspended/revoked and defective equipment.

Officer Jeffrey Robbins said in his report that he was on patrol on U.S. 81 when he observed a southbound Ford F-150 with defective tail lights and initiated a traffic stop of the vehicle in the area of Frontage Road and Coronado Drive.

According to the report, the 43-year-old male driver was determined to be driving with a suspended driver’s license and the 41-year-old female passenger also had a suspended driver’s license.

The driver was placed under arrest for driving with a suspended license and defective equipment, the passenger was released and the vehicle was impounded, the report said.

The driver was transported to Mercy Hospital Kingfisher and, upon receiving medical clearance for incarceration, was transported to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center.
