Recent reports filed by Kingfisher Police Department
The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following reports:
October 17 - Public Intoxication.
Officer Aaron Schlegel responded to a report of a possibly intoxicated individual at McDonald’s, 1600 S. Main St.
According to the report, the 38-year-old male suspect exhibited signs of intoxication and was placed under arrest for public intoxication.
Officers transported the suspect to Mercy Hospital Kingfisher, where he was evaluated and released for incarceration and then transported to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center.
Sergeant Charles Trout and Sheriff’s Deputy Jonathan Reidlinger assisted with the investigation.
October 21 - Malicious injury/destruction of property.
Officer Derek Grassman responded to a report of vandalism in the 400 block of South Seventh Street.
According to the report, Kaycie Graves informed officers her vehicle had been vandalized.
Grassman said in his report that he observed the vehicle’s driver’s side, which was “covered in streams of mustard” and “flour had been dumped all over the vehicle.”
Graves reported that she thought the vandalism had occurred within 15 minutes of the officers’ arrival.
Officers searched the area, but were unable to locate any suspects.
Grassman was later dispatched back to the area where Graves showed the officer a northbound trail of flour on the sidewalk and provided the officer the name of a possible suspect, according to the report.
Officer Jarred Tech assisted with the investigation.
October 23 - Possession of other forged instruments.
Officer Jarred Tech responded to a report of counterfeit money.
Larry Smith reportedly stated he had received a $100 bill from an individual in exchange for five $20 bills and then he purchased $2 worth of merchandise at Stop-N-Go and received change.
According to the report, when Smith returned to Stop-N-Go, a store representative informed him that the $100 bill was counterfeit and he agreed to return the change he had received.
Smith provided the name of the 42-year-old male suspect who had given him the $100 bill, according to the report.
Officers attempted to locate the known suspect, but were unsuccessful, the report said.

October 27 - Operate vehicle while suspended/ denied/ revoked and possession of controlled substance.
Officer Derek Grassmann said in his report that he observed a southbound vehicle on U.S. 81 with a defective third brake light and initiated a traffic stop.
According to the report, the 28-year-old male driver was driving with a suspended driver’s license, an expired tag and unconfirmed insurance.
Grassmann said in his report that he detected “a strong odor of marijuana” and determined the suspect had a medical marijuana card.
Grassmann placed the suspect under arrest for operating a motor vehicle while suspended and transported him to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center.
Officer Christopher McDaniel performed an inventory of the vehicle and located a bottle containing 18 hydrocodone tablets (without a valid prescription), the report said.
According to the report, another three hydrocodone tablets were located in the suspect’s possession while being processed at the jail.
Grassmann said in his report that he issued the suspect a district citation for operating a motor vehicle while suspended and for failure to comply with compulsory insurance law as well as warnings for defective equipment and failure to pay taxes due to state.
A charge of possession of controlled dangerous substance was also added, the report said.
October 31 - Assault and battery.
Sergeant Charles Trout responded to a report of an altercation in the 100 block of North Fifth St.
Officers Jason East and Kyle Svoboda assisted with the investigation.
