Recent traffic accidents
The following traffic accidents are being investigated by the Kingfisher Police Department: August 14, 11:06 a.m. - At 701 N. Main St.: Scott Weinmeister, 55, Kingfisher, driving a 2019 Chevrolet Cruz, backed out of a parking space at Jacket Corner, 701 N. Main St. and was waiting for traffic to clear to merge onto U.S. 81.
Fred Reherman, 76, Kingfi sher, driving a 2024 Dodge Ram, backed out of a parking space and struck the Weinmeister vehicle.
Minor damage was reported to both vehicles.
No injuries were reported. August 15, 12:54 p.m. - At S.H. 33 and 13th Street: A 16-year-old male driver, Kingfi sher, driving a 2013 GMC, was northbound on South 13th Street and stopped at the intersection of S.H. 33.
Connie Boeckman, 86, Kingfisher, driving a 2020 Lincoln Nautilus, was southbound on North 13th Street and stopped at the intersection of S.H. 33.
Max Holthus, 72, Kingfisher, driving a 1992 Dodge D20, was westbound on S.H. 33.
According to the report, the 16-year-old’s vehicle attempted to cross S.H. 33 and failed to yield to the Holthus vehicle.
The Holthus vehicle struck the 16-year-old’s vehicle in the passenger side, which then flipped onto the driver’s side and slid into the Boeckman vehicle, the report said.
Disabling damage was reported to all the vehicles involved.
Boeckman sustained non-incapacitating arm and leg injuries and was transported by Kingfisher EMS to Mercy Hospital Kingfisher, according to the report.
