Recent traffic accidents

The following traffic accidents are being investigated by the Kingfisher Police Department:

September 26, 10:30 a.m. - At 101 Hill Drive. — Jose Torrez, 53, Kingfi sher, driving a 2013 Ford F-150, was parked along the south side of Hill Drive. Brian Perez, 20, Enid, driving a 2022 Freightliner, was westbound on Hill Drive and attempted to make a right turn into the alley. According to the report, the Perez vehicle made a wide turn and struck the Torrez vehicle. Functional damage was reported to the Torrez vehicle and minor damage to the Perez vehicle. No injuries were reported. Lieutenant Justin Trumbley investigated the accident.

September 26, 11 a.m. - At U.S. 81 and Bowman Avenue. — Karen De La Torre, 22, Kingfisher, driving a 2016 Ford Mustang, was westbound on East Bowman Avenue. Tresa Little, 54, Kingfisher, driving a 2015 Chevrolet Equinox, was northbound in the inside lane of U.S. 81. According to the report, a third vehicle was northbound in the outside lane of U.S. 81 and stopped to make a right turn onto East Bowman Avenue.  The De La Torre vehicle proceeded westbound onto U.S. 81 and was struck by the Little vehicle, the report said. Functional damage was reported to the De La Torre vehicle and disabling damage to the Little vehicle. The driver and a passenger in the Little vehicle sustained possible head injuries and the passenger was transported by Kingfisher EMS to Mercy Hospital Kingfisher. Lieutenant Justin Trumbley investigated the accident.
