Recent traffic accidents
The following traffic accidents are being investigated by the Kingfisher Police Department:
July 25, 9:21 p.m. - At U.S. 81 and Victory Lane. — A 15-year-old male, Kingfisher, driving a 2004 Yamaha V Star 650, was southbound on U.S. 81. Christian Plascencia Paredes, 38, Enid, driving a 2021 Chevrolet Silverado towing a trailer, was eastbound on Victory Lane and stopped at the intersection of U.S. 81. According to the report, Plascencia Paredes vehicle attempted to cross U.S. 81 and the 15-year-old’s motorcycle struck the Plascencia Paredes vehicle. The report also stated the Plascencia Paredes trailer lights were inoperable at the time of the accident. The 15-year-old sustained minor injuries and was transported by EMS to Mercy Hospital Kingfisher for evaluation. Minor damage was reported to the 15-year-old’s motorcycle and no damage to the Plascencia Paredes vehicle. Officer Michael Farrar investigated the accident.
August 1, noon - At 110 W. Will Rogers Drive. — Jennifer Farrell, 51, Kingfisher, driving a 2025 Ram 1500, was parked on the south side of the parking lot at 110 W. Will Rogers Drive. Rebecca McAdams, 30, Kingfisher, driving a 2013 Chevrolet Traverse, was parked on the north side of the parking lot. According to the report, the McAdams vehicle attempted to back out of the parking space and struck the Farrell vehicle in the rear. Minor damage was reported to both vehicles. No injuries were reported. Lieutenant Justin Trumbley investigated the accident.
